Somatic Adventures

Welcome to my NEW 8 week Somatic Adventures Classes!!! Somatics is the word I use for mind, body, spirit/soul connection through mindful movement this is NOT exercise but it will get your body moving!

This year I received certifications to teach Yoga (200 RYT), Mindfulness Meditation, Restorative Yoga, and Yin Yoga. I also have a lifetime of movement study and exploration :

  • Grew up dancing and exploring the Nebraska Wilderness

  • Have had the honor of practicing yoga and meditation for over 30 years

  • 10+ years of mountain biking/long distance gravel/bike camping (usually solo)

  • I’m a 5th kyu in Aikido (a harmonizing martial art)

  • Spend most mornings on the water or hiking

Currently I’m creating my own somatic practices embracing my lifelong teacher, Nature, Mother Earth for assistance. This is just the beginning of what, hopefully, is a lifetime of learning, creating, and sharing.

NEW SOMATIC ADVENTURES 8 WEEK SERIES

I’m excited and humbled to share with you 3 different (donation based) classes I’ve created, which are in their seedling phase, that explore movement, meditation, breath work, imagination, rest & digest, and more! Adventures within Somatics

Every Wednesdays 4pm PT/7pm ET (July 12th - August 30th) via Zoom

Somatics is the word I use for mind, body, spirit/soul connection. This simple yet complex idea is overlooked in our busy day to day lives leaving us disconnected not only from our own self but others around us. It’s time to get reconnected! This class does just that while providing a safe, supported, wild adventure within somatics.

Class will include elements of visualizations, lots of imagination, movements, dance, yoga, qi gong, aikido, taoism, buddhism, nature, adventure, philosophy, meditation, breath work and more! Class is open to all levels, abilities, and ages. And no shoes required!!!

Rest and Digest

Every Sunday 5pm PT/8pm ET (July 16th - August 17th) via Zoom

Restorative is the MOST delicious type of yoga that resets our nervous system from the constant fight/flight mode to the restoring rest and digest mode, created by BKS Iyengar.

This is a slow and deeply therapeutic practice that some may find challenging due to being still and quiet for long periods of time. Poses are held between 5-12 mins using props like pillows and blankets to support our mind, body, spirit/soul which allows us to restore, let things be, and digest the chaos of our lives. Class is open to all levels, abilities, and ages.
